About me
I’m Dr Hannah Odendaal, a registered Clinical Psychologist. I am passionate about helping people navigate life's challenges and find ways to lead more fulfilling and rewarding lives.
Qualifying as a Clinical Psychologist involves rigorous academic and clinical training up to doctoral level. My work is grounded in a range of modern, evidence-based psychological therapies that are proven to be effective. I often draw on Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Compassion Focused Therapy (CFT) and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT).
Alongside my NHS work, I work privately from my Hertfordshire clinic in Hatfield. I typically work with difficulties such as anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, stress/burnout, adjusting to change/ life stressors, perfectionism and feeling ‘stuck’ / unfulfilled. I also have a particular interest in the emotional strain of a physical health condition (my area of specialism in my NHS work), including pain related conditions and fatigue.
My aim is to create a safe, non-judgmental space where we can work collaboratively to explore your difficulties, build coping strategies, and ultimately help you live a more content and meaningful life.
I offer both short-term and open ended therapy. Whether you are looking for brief support for a specific issue or longer-term work to address deeper difficulties, I am here to guide you through the process.
